"I've had the pleasure of working with Marlo since she first starting doing cosplay photoshoots in 2016. I hired her to do a Christmas shoot with myself and my childhood cat in 2017, which I'm pretty sure was a first for her portfolio, and I hired her in 2021 to do shoot for my partner and I so we had nice photos for around our house. Needless to say, Marlo has always been my first choice when it came to my photography needs.

So when my partner proposed to me in 2023, the first person I messaged (outside of my immediate family, of course) was Marlo because I wanted to secure her for an engagement shoot before the summer con season sucked up all her availability.

Even though engagement photos are not what Marlo usually does, she was great at directing us. She'd asked what kind of vibe we wanted before the shoot (we were not big fans of overly intimate poses, nor did we really want to kiss on camera). We shot at the Morton Arboretum, a location that Marlo had shot at many times before, and she knew all the best places to secure the photos that I wanted for our engagement announcement and save the dates.

When my partner and I decided that we wanted to elope the following year, I reached out to Marlo again because I know she typically doesn't do weddings if she would shoot ours since it was going to be so small. I also checked her con schedule before I even reached out, because we got married the weekend before Katsucon, which I know is one of Marlo's biggest events every year. I was so happy that she agreed, because Marlo knows how I like to look in photos (from years of working with her), and I couldn't imagine anyone else capturing one of the most important days of my life.

Working with Marlo has always produced some of my favorite photos of myself, my family, and of course my cat. She goes above and beyond with her clients, and you can tell she has such a good understanding of what it's like to be on both sides of the camera. She is not afraid to move you around or help your posing, especially if you're not as experienced with having your photo taken. Just book Marlo already, your new favorite photos are waiting for you!" - Review from Jillian & Brad
